In winter 2011, KAKOUSHI Indépendant is going present an experiment of music, acoustics, emotions, space, vision, device, and live art in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Beijing.
Tokyo based avant-garde electronic musician, Takahisa Mitsumori aka mergrim, with percussion artist Kazuya Matusmoto aka horhythm, visual artist Masato Tsutsui, and special guest Zhai Ruixing aka ME:MO, Beijing folktronica musician, are going to bring waves of …sensory excitement that is both graceful and bizarre, as if entering an abstract world with the illusion of approaching the future.

mergrim / Takahisa Mitsumori as a producer / composer at Tokyo, Japan
Born in Takaraduka, Hyogo.
He started his career as a producer in 2004 after the band’s experience since 1998,
and established Moph Record with companions in 2005.
Moph Record has released 4 albums and 10 digital EPs.
Also, he is a member of “mophONE,” an audiovisual unit.
Their advanced dance album “plug” was acclaimed in 2008.
And finally, his first solo album “Invisible Landscape …” was released in 2011.1.11.
His activity keeps extending day by day.

The activity concept for VJ is “HDVJ”.
The high-resolution in real time generated can be enhanced to the size of the film.
The appearance to “Metamorphose” “SonarSoundTokyo” “electraglide” “FujiRockFestival” “BigBeachFestival” has been experienced.
Goodness is pursued though it is assumed that the image expression is invariable in pioneering approach that uses the favor of the technology to its maximum.
The program development of a realtime & interactive image for the advertisement, besides the activity as VJ.

A Japanese percussionist/drummer.
As well as his own band soultunefactory, he has collaborated with various musicians such as Ametsub, school food punishment, FilFla, mergrim, 34423, yuanyuan.
In his solo project, Kazuya creates rhythmic sound that is not confined only to what is made by drums or percussion, using such various instruments as hamonon, gong, crystal ball, singing ball, as well as non-instrumental elements.
ME:MO
Zhai Ruixin aka ME:MO was born in Beijing, and in 2003 began releasing music under the moniker me:mo – the same year he created his personal music label 「FUITY SHOP」 and issued his DEMO album(300 CDR). In 2006 he published the album “Static Scenery”, then in 2007 “Acoustic View” published in “shanshui record(china)”, (2009 “Acoustic View” reissued in “Disasters by Choice(Italy)”). 2010 “Peking Scene” released in “Plop(japan)”, ranked 85th in a Top 100 Best Albums Poll launched by The Silent Ballet.
Me:mo is the first Chinese musician to approach such music genres as Folktronica and Indie-Electronica. His own personal style is based on a mixture of different musical influences.
After having absorbed this fusion of styles to their fullest, he began to immerse himself in expressing the most soothing and intimate sides of electronic music, revealing to listeners the warmest aspects of this genre. Recurring themes in me:mo’s music are centred around the lasting impacts of memory (hence the origin of his name), city landscapes (especially the rapidly ever-changing Beijing), nostalgia, and all the subtle sensations that fall as drops of rain into everyone’s life, disclosing to the listener through music a plethora of images related to these emotions and experiences.
